Miami East got things started in the first inning. A Lemaster drove in one when Lemaster tripled. Miami East scored four runs in the fifth inning. Miami East’s big inning was driven by singles by A Francis, J Ellis, and N Woolley. A Butz led the Miami East to victory on the mound. The pitcher went six innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out 11. Francis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Keegan Weiss took the loss for Ansonia Tigers Varsity. The lefthander went four and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on ten hits and striking out six. Ethan Hemmerich, Connor Schmit, and Jakob Creager each collected one hit to lead Ansonia Tigers Varsity. Ansonia Tigers Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Trevor Hemmerich had seven chances in the field, the most on the team. Miami East totaled 13 hits. Francis, Lemaster, T Kirby, C Apple, and Woolley all collected multiple hits for Miami East.
